The Bob Chandler Foundation was created to further the beliefs and principles of former college and professional player and sportscaster Bob Chandler, and to serve as the memorial for those who continue to fight against cancer.

Bob Chandler exemplified the highest standards of moral character, commitment to family values and dedication to athletic excellence. As such, the Foundation’s purpose is to:

A former USC Chandler Scholarship recipient, on his remarkable achievement as a Super Bowl LX winner.

Sam Donald's journey exemplifies the true spirit of the Bob Chandler Scholarship award, showcasing perseverance, humility, and dedication both on and off the football field. Awarded in 2017 at USC, he demonstrated outstanding commitment to excellence in academics, athletics, and life, earning the respect of his coaches and teammates.
Drafted 3rd overall by the Jets in 2018, and then stints with five different NFL teams, he had a complete career turnaround from an early-career "bust" label when he joined the Seattle Seahawks. As the Seahawk’s starting quarterback, he led his team to an impressive Super Bowl LX victory.
